M2 memory card doesnt work in my sony ericsson w205 and dont no how to format it

you need these memory card. (Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™))

and youll place the memory card in the side of your cellphone.. check my attached image

I know this a dumb question but is the card an M2. This is what Sony phones use looks simular to micro but its different card.first try taking the battery out of your phone then reinstall it if this doesnt work and If it is an M2 and your computer recognizes it WARNING!!!! WARNING backup anything you want saved from the card and reformat it WARNING!!! If you do this without backing the info it will be lost FOREVER!!! once its formated put the blank card in if it works then you should be able to format the card while in the phone I would do this. Then try putting the info back on the card and see if your phone recognizes it if not then there maybe a file thats causing the compatibility issue.

hi are you formatting it as NTFS? windows xp, vista and 7 format using the NTFS format, try formatting it in fat, or fat32 this could be the reason it is not working....hope this helps

this is a common problem for most of the phones you just insert the 1 gb card which was given to you with the phone

Hey friend... its to simple just enter in code box oooo

I was facing the exact same problem with my W200i. I formatted my memory card using the "Quick Format " option and then re-uploaded my songs. That solved my problem. There is no disturbance in between songs now, also the "Playback Failed" error has also not occurred again.

You cant just put the memory card in and it work, you need to go to control panel, other and format memory stick
