You can use glow in the dark paint for numbers so they will glow too. Not sure if it will look that good but check out glow in the dark paint reviews and maybe go get some to try it out. I just don't really get it, why you want to change something. I mean, those watches look good enough in my opinion. Anyway, if you are a DIY enthusiast, you may enjoy the process of modifying the watch.

How to set the time on a Dakota one button watch

To set the time on a Dakota one button watch, you will need to follow the instructions in the user manual that came with the watch. If you do not have the user manual, you can try the following steps:
  1. Press and hold the button on the top right side of the watch: Press and hold the button until the time display appears.
  2. Set the time: Use the button to set the time. The specific sequence for setting the time will depend on the make and model of your watch.
  3. Exit the time setting mode: Once the time is set, you will need to exit the time setting mode. The specific steps for exiting the time setting mode will depend on the make and model of your watch.
It is important to note that the steps for setting the time on a Dakota one button watch may vary depending on the specific make and model of the watch. If you are unable to set the time using the steps above, it is recommended to refer to the user manual or contact Dakota customer support for assistance.
If you have a "his and hers" set of Dakota watches, the steps for setting the time on both watches should be the same. You can use the steps above to set the time on both watches.

How do brighten the dial so I can see the time in the dark. The watch was in direct sunlight 3 days & I still cannot see thedial in the dark!

At one time luminescent dials were made with Radium Luminous paint with a half-life of 1600 years so the "glow" didn't go away soon. And getting enough of the material to cause it to glow sufficiently was dangerous to the wearer. Since then Tritium mixed with zinc sulfide was substituted. Please see: http://wornandwound.com/2013/08/23/seeing-in-the-dark-luminescence-in-watches/

Later, non-radioactive materials were used. Unfortunately, all these materials decay and are less efficient. If you have a small flashlight you can hold it to the face of the watch and it will then get brighter...for a while. But, soon it will fade again. Holding the watch under a light for a long time won't help. The reason is that the material can't hold a "charge" and the excited materials have lost much of their ability to luminesce.

I lost my Dakota Torch REQ SOS with solid cover/shield. I am trying to find another. I have the charger for it.

Here's a link directly to the Dakota website for this particular brand of watch:
https://dakota.webfeatsecurity.com/watches.aspx?sr=t&Series=25
I looked briefly on E-bay and only saw one available auction for this type of watch, here's the link (it's shortened because E-bay links are huuuuge)

Watch does not glow in the dark

Is it suppose to glow in the dark? You don't give any information about the watch, make, model, age. If it was suppose to glow in the dark and it is old, that function may have deteriorated beyond normal limits.

Have yo sat your watch in strong sunlight for several hours then checked the glow in the dark feature? Is this a watch that glows as the result of a light in the watch powered by a battery that may be weak?

I suggest you take your watch to a jeweler in your area and have it gone over to assure proper operation.

Backlight on DW6900

You cannot change the light. It is an electro-luminescence layer behind the display. It is something like a large LED. They are designed to not be very bright to save battery life. I have a number of Casio watches. They are all not very bright. Also the non silver background type watches tend to be much darker than the silver background with black symbols.

Reversed display colors

It can be done, but you would be better off getting the exact same watch that is already set up that way. These come both ways. Sell the old one, and buy the exact same model with the regular face on e-bay. Reversing the polarity on the LCD is not easy- and it's not a good idea.
