Did you crack the lcd screen or just the cover? The 8310 has a plastic screen cover. Most people believe that if they crack the cover, they are actually cracking the lcd screen. Most of the time, the lcd screen isn't cracked.

If you can determine that you've only cracked the plastic lcd screen cover...you're laughing. If you can find another 8310 with a different problem, ie a bad logic board or non-reparable trackball, that has been discarded...you can remove the good screen cover. The screen cover is held down using a tape. Remove the good screen cover by prying an exacto knife type blade under the cover and work it along the outer edges of the top and the sides. Once those have been loosened, it is a fairly simple task to pry off the cover. Remove the broken cover and replace it with the good cover from the other 8310 and voila! No more crack.

Be careful not to scratch the good cover and remember to clean the inside as well before sticking it down on your unit. Otherwise you'll go crazy constantly trying to remove a dust particle from your BlackBerry...when the dust is between the lcd screen and the newly replaced cover.

Cheers!

Broken screen need prayer repaired

You are in luck - Philadelphia is one city where you can actually get mp3 player repair. Call Nerds Next Door at 1-888-596-4321 - let me know how it goes.

Guest - if you know how to use a soldering iron, there is a YouTube video that will show you exactly how to repair your screen. If I were you, I would just call Sansa and claim your warranty, but maybe you are out of warranty.

Broken screen

It should be taken into AT&T and find out what your options are. If you have insurance for your Blackberry, you should be able to get it replaced after the deductible.
