No internet connection using wireless

I have a hp dv6600 series laptop. Vista home premium. I've tried hp support and at&t support and no one can tell me how to connect wirelessly. I can connect with the ethenet cable to the internet. We've done all kinds of things but at the end of the day when on wireless only, the connection icon in the tray says that it is connected to the 2wire, but can't get the internet connection. HP says they don't support the 2wire product, but i can return the pc if I like....help

We have the very same issue. We have contacted our ISP and they had us change the signal and power setting combinations. When doing so, it would usually work, but only momentarily. Our HPdv6 is brand new, utilizes Vista Home Premium and the computer also states that 2wire is connected. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tired of being tethered to the ethernet cord.

I strongly recommend if you try calling your isp provider again, i blv they actually have specialist trained for 2wire connection, you just have to ask for them...vista still has compatibility issues, did your router worked wireless with other pc like xp?..i hope you'll have this resolved already...

Sounds like you have a bad malware infection to me.....go to the link below and download and install. When it installs, allow it to update and run. Perform a quick scan only and when it finishes, click on show results...the infections found will be in red, click on remove selected and Malwarebytes will delete the infections, reboot the laptop and try again.

Lose Internet connection on wireless network

Go to the router configuration and change the options so you could use both of them, there is an option says only one type of connection or both of them, change it to both, and everything will be fine.
