BlackBerry 8310 making RF interfernce noise...

My BlackBerry 8310 has started making an interference noise audible by both parties on the line. It seems to get worse when I hold the phone with my hand closer to the battery compartment. It sounds like AM radio RF interference. Is it possible that the battery is going bad causing this?

I am having the same problem with my phone. When you hook the charger up to the phone the static should go away. I have purchased a new battery and after it charges for the 12 hours i am going to test it out. I will let you know.

Blackberry 8310 will not ring audibly

To try fixing the mp3 sound, try to play a mp3 file, and toggle the "mute" button on top of the phone. Also try to press the "speaker phone" key (the one with $ sign)

For the audio rings, try to reset the phone by taking the battery out for 1 min then put it back in.
