Not much it can be really. If it is picking up A.M. no problem then it is not a connection problem. It is a fault in the radio itself. F.M. frequency is the easiest to pick up so get the radio checked as it has to be internal.

Radio has static and tries to pick up just one station a m and fm. 2005 Acura Can it be antennae

The alternator is most likly the problem. If it was ok before and you had the alternator replaced the problem should be the new alternator. The above answer is if static is your problem. If you can not pick up stations there is a good chance that you have a antenna problem.

How do I manually set my radio stations to my rcart2770 reciever

1. Connect the FM antenna and the AM loopantenna at the back of the unit. Rotate the AM loop for better reception.

3. Tune a station by pressing TUNER+/-repeatedly until the desired station is found.Alternatively, you can press and hold thesame buttons down for about one second toactivate the automatic search function. Inthis mode the unit will automatically tunefrequencies until it finds a station.
4. Repeat step 3 to tune to another radio station.
5. Press AM/FMto select between FM and AM.Storing Radio Stations

The unit can store up to 40 radio stations (30 preset stations for FM and 10 preset stations for AM) in its memory. You can enter every single radio station yourself or the unit can store all available radio stations automatically in ascending order

Automatic Preset Programming
1. Press AM/FM to enter the AM/FM mode.
2. Press and hold AM/FM for two seconds to start automatic preset programming.
3. Radio frequencies will be browsed and radiostations stored automatically. When all the available radio stations are stored or all 40(30 preset stations for FM and 10 preset stations for AM) memory locations are full, the auto preset programming function will stop.

Manual Preset
1. Tune to a radio station (see "Manual tuning"for details).

Radio power is on but no sound coming from speakers/radio on 2005 Acura MDX. Sound works with CD's

Turn on the radio and increase the volume if you can hear a hiss through the speakers, chance is the aerial/antenna connection is not hooked up correctly. Another way to check is try tuning to an AM station if you get a signal on AM but not FM then it is The antenna. You may have to remove the radio to get at the connection.

Problem with my Radio Tuner!

YOU MAY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ANTENNA. THERE ARE 4 ANTENNAS IN THE REAR WINDOW FOR BOTH AM AND FM SIGNALS. THERE IS AND UNIT CALLED A DIVERSITY BOX UNDER THE REAR HAT SHELF THE CONNECTS THEM ALL AND DECIDES WHAT ANTENNA IS GETTING THE BEST SIGNAL. THAT UNIT MAY BE FAULTY. BEST TO HAVE IT CHECKED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE SYSTEM OR TAKE IT TO A DEALER. MIGHT BE CHEAPER THAN BUYING A NEW AFTERMARKET RADIO.

XM radio goes in and out

Call the XM service number, they will refresh your signals. If it was the head unit, the same problem would occur during AM/FM signal transmission
