My granddaughter stepped on my Samsung Galaxy Tab E. She shattered the tempered glass screen protector but not the screen. Now it is overheating and won't charge. .

Danger do not store this bad hot phone
anywhere where, fire would be devastating, (home , car, ?)
i'd put in the fire place, on bricks, (but not for long, just long enough to seek help)
for sure put it out doors is better, safer.
like inside the BBQ. is safe.
what we do is remove the battery proto. (RIP mr. battery)
newer batteries are now have fuses,to stop fire.
get it out of there now.
google cell phone fires. and learn.

The battery may be damaged. If this is the case, then the unit could burn or explode. The other issue is that the CPU heat spreader bent and is no longer in good contact or the tablet isn't getting good circulation near the various chips inside.

I would also check the wiring for shorts (wires touching each other) when the case is closed. The wires in tablets are often fragile and will heat if too much current flows through them.
