I have an Oster Cordless Trimmer (Model 76997) and the charging base no longer works. I verified the clippers charge and work by plugging it into a friends charging base. I can't seem to find a replacement charging stand. Any idea where I can find one?

Here are a couple things you can try.
Clean the charging contacts, this can be done two ways. The manufacture's recommend using a pencil eraser. I recomend using a q-tip and some rubbing alchol. Just rub the alchol soaked q-tip on all the metal contacts on the bases and the bottom of the handset.
Gooo luck.
Hope this helps

I had the same problem. What worked for me, after several unsuccessful registration attempts, was to disconnect the phone handset battery for about 1 min and then reconnect the battery. Run the handset registration procedure again. It registered for me on the first attempt after the battery reinstall. Good luck.

First, these are very sensitive to no lubrication. They should be lubricated every use to every few uses. Put a drop or two of light machine oil (sewing machine oil is about right) directly on the cutting blades. That may fix your problem. Also, watch the blades once you getit running and make sure the teeth totally pass each other or it will pull hair -- no fun! The travel of the moving blade is generally adjustable via a large plastic screw on the side of the clipper.
