Hello, Minenhle -

I suggest you contact NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme, in South Africa) directly and ask your questions of someone who is knowledgeable in that agency.

This is the link to the NSFAS Contact Us web page:
http://www.nsfas.org.za/content/contact.html

Look for the column headed Student Enquiries.

Note: Fixya.com is probably not the best website for asking questions about university financial aid agencies in South Africa. Fixya.com is intended to be a website for questions and answers about repairing _things_.

I am in the USA and a librarian by profession. If you have a public library (one funded by local or provincial government funds), I suggest you ask your questions of a librarian there, so that you will not be subjected to incorrect information and rude answers.

Best wishes.

I want to change my nsfas cellphone number

FIXYA is a free online service and is not connected to any university or government office.

Here are instructions for changing your NSFAS cell phone number.

How to update your cellphone number with NSFAS

Students who wish to change their contact details can do so by:
Login to my.nsfas.org.za
On the already registered tab
Enter your username and Password Click on sign in button
Click on my personal details
Go to the cellphone number section
Delete and remove and type in the new
cellphone number Click on update details
OTP will be sent to your new number
Enter OTP and submit

Number should be successfully changed (if a duplicate number exists student will get an error message)

Students who are unable to change their details online can use the manual process by emailing certified copy of their green barcoded ID or smart card, and a completed affidavit specifying that they have changed their cell phone number; with the new and old number listed to [email protected].

You may wish to verify your change by calling NSFAS in South Africa on a toll free number:

NSFAS's TOLL FREE Call centre is 08000 NSFAS (67327)

Well i changed my cellphone number that i registered with on nsfas, I sent the nsfas people an email stating that i have changed my number but I have not received a response from them

FIXYA unpaid volunteers who live all over the world, not necessarily in South Africa, use the internet to answer questions. They do not have access to anyone's NSFAS accounts or personal cell phone numbers and email addresses.
https://twitter.com/mynsfas?lang=en

Contact NSFAS using the information for students on their web site in South Africa.

http://www.nsfas.org.za/content/studentsupport.html

To call NSFAS, and ask them for assistances, telephone them on their phone numbers

0860 067 327
08600 NSFAS
0800 203 900

Quoting NSFAS web page: "C. When you provide your cell phone number on the application form, make sure it works and please do not change it afterwards, as NSFAS will use it to communicate with you during and after the application process. Please do not provide someone else's cell phone number as your contact number.

You will also need an email address. If you do not have an email address, you can easily create a gmail address, by clicking here."
