Walgreen's Humidifier model # S45U-A i bought the humidifier was used, so i dont have manual i was wondering if i have all the piece's that go to humidifier

S45U-A cool mist Humidifier from wal green with no instructions. I need to know how too operate it. Thx, TP

I've never heard of a manually-filled furnace humidifier. We use a whole-house, stand-alone humidifier (manually-filled) and it works just fine. Easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to maintain. Even if there were such a thing as a manually-filled furnace humidifier, in the case you describe, I would much rather stay inside to fill my humidifier than get bundled up and step outside into the cold to do it. 2. Clean the base by partially filling
it with one 8-oz cups of undiluted
white vinegar or by using Cleanse
CleanTM Solution (DMS216) by the
manufacturer. Leave this solution
in the tank for 20 minutes, while
cleaning all interior surfaces with a
soft brush.

My Slant Fin humidifier has a floating, ring-shaped magnetic level that isn't replaceable. You can't even tell it's magnetic until you cut off the piece that prevents the white plastic float from rising past a certain point. It turns out that there is a ring-shaped magnet in the float.

I found that the Refill light would go off when I held a strong magnet near the float device.

So, I have suspended the magnet with string from the top of the humidifier outside the humidifier.

Caution: This fix disables the safety feature inherent in the low level shut off. I wonder why the manufacturer uses material that corrodes?
