My screen went black yet under certain light i can see it very slightly is this fixable

led light under screen is not glowing,,check led lights or its related circuit

The display has gone bad. Sure , it is fixable - either the screen itself or the circuitry driving it. But is the cost worth it?

You screen has separated and you will not be able to fix this one.

everything is fixable when this happened to us the cost to repair was close to the cost of buying new. we paid 598 for our tv and was 475 to fix ,,,,,we opted to buy new and get an extended warranty on the tv for 5 yrs ended up being the more practical solution

elmo29, Your monitor may have bad internal power supply problem. You or a qualifyed electronics technician will need to investigate why the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" are not lighting-up so you can see what is on the screen. Check out some video clips at YOUTUBE under these search terms: "lcd monitor disassembly" and "lcd monitor repair" You will certainly find a whole lot of them. Pay particular attention to those with "black screen" symptom, and the reason WHY they went to "black screen" condition in the first place!!!! Remember this! All computer LCD monitors use same basic technology, design, and principle of operation to place and display information on the lcd panel!!!

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

what you may need to do is replaced the flexcable on the phone not the lcd.

Same with mine a couple days ago. I've been told the contacts have oxidized and need to be cleaned. It was going to cost about $80 to fix and no guarantee how long it would last so I just bought a new monitor.
