Open any web application like psp web browser and try to connect. If it fails to find any wifi device then you must find it from setting option of psp. Click on search for wifi. then select the device you want to connect to. Enter passkey and enjoy wifi on psp.
your notebook has a switch to turn on/off the wifi. Try using hardwire ethernet cable to connect to the web. locate the slide su=iwtch or function on the keyboard marked as WiFi symbol
did you refer to the wifi light? actually wifi radio receiver is a manual thing and you should turn it ON and OFF manually. Im not sure with the model you described but try to look for a slide or push button with the wifi icon (an antenna with 3 waves). then try to see if the wifi led is lit. Another way, if your device is soft touch, then there is no hard press button for it. it will be a combination of FN + a function key (look at the function key with the wifi icon)
