Are you possibly shooting pictures in RAW format? Photo kiosks such as those at Walgreens won't recognize Canon RAW photos, only JPEGs. Check the camera's image quality settings, as described beginning on page 60 of the manual.

If you have successfully downloaded the pics to your computer, then your camera's part in the printing process is over. You need to check what programs are on your computer for the purpose of editing or printing your pics.

you will need to check if your printer has a duplex printing capability. No use trying to print double sided if it can only do single sided printing.

i have tried to find an illustration online and was unsuccessful but I do know that at your local library they have free repair manuals for most vehicles that can show you this exact illustration

To resolve the smeaing issue:

1. Set the Fuser Mode for the Envelope to High 1 or High 2.
2. Press Select (check mark button), and scroll down to CONFIGURE DEVICE.
3. Press Select, and scroll down to PRINT QUALITY.
4. Press Select, and scroll down to FUSER MODES.
5. Press Select, and scroll down to ENVELOPE.
6. Press Select, and scroll down to HIGH 1 or HIGH 2.
7. Press the MENU button to return to exit the menu and return to the Ready state.

Also,

1. Print a few more pages to see if the problem corrects itself.
   
2. Try using a different type of paper.
   
3. Make sure that the environmental specifications for the printer are being met.
   
4. Clean the inside of the printer and run a cleaning page to clean the fuser.
   
5. The printer might be due for maintenance. Check this by printing a copy of the supplies status page. If maintenance is due, order and install the printer maintenance kit.
   
6. Replace the print cartridge.
   

Perform a cleaning operation:
To run the cleaning page manually

1. If a duplexer is installed, open the rear output bin.
   
2. Press Menu to open the menus.
   
3. Use Product illustration (Up button) or Product illustration (Down button) to scroll to CONFIGURE DEVICE , and then press Product illustration (Select button).
   
4. Use Product illustration (Up button) or Product illustration (Down button) to scroll to PRINT QUALITY , and then press Product illustration (Select button).
   
5. Use Product illustration (Up button) or Product illustration (Down button) to scroll to PROCESS CLEANING PAGE , and then press Product illustration (Select button).
   
6. If a duplexer is installed, close the rear output bin.
