5,280 feet in a mile. Assume 3 feet for a long stride, multiply 3 x 6710 = 20130 feet. Divided by 5280 = 3.8125 miles. Adjust math for stride length if different.

What would 3000 steps equal towards a mile?

It would depend on the length of your step, running, walking, jogging, up hill or down, over pavement or irregular terrain. If you measure it in feet and take and average then divide 5,280 by your measure to determine the relationship of your step to a mile.

How many steps in a mile?

That depends on your leg length/length of stride but as a rule of thumb a stride is reckoned to be approximately a yard as a rough average but people don't tend to stride out unless walking purposefully along an empty road but if they do you can reckon between 1700 and 1800 to the mile. For more normal walking/sauntering steps are shorter and there could be as many as 2500 to the mile...

Is 400 meters shorter then a Qaurter mile?

Yes, just just barely.
There are 1609.344 metres to a mile. Therefore a quarter mile is 1609.344 ÷ 4 = 402.336

If you are off for a walk, that is about 2 long strides.

How many miles is in 16821 steps

That is an arbitrary question without an answer unless you provide some input as to what is the "accepted" length of a "step". Obviously, as people are of varying heights and thus varying leg length, the length of a step can vary widely. If you assume a step as the 30" pace that the US military associates with the march step, then you can calculate a distance.

16821 steps @ 30 inches per step = 504630 inches.

504630 inches divided by 12 = 42052.5 feet

Since the 5280 feet in one mile, then:

42052.5 feet divided by 5280 = 7.9644886363636... miles.

Right oil for my car

you want to use the 5w20 for best fuel efficiency and easier cold starts especially in bc. multiweight oil has made great strides in the years past. also synthetic oil is a good alternative but you should also use the manufacturer's recommended viscosity. the thinner oil also allows better lubrication on smaller passageways.
