I had a FB acct with MY cell ph number. When I tried to get into it it asked me lots of questions, so I thought I was updating my acct. info and when it would not take my ph # sayingit was already in
I really don"t know where to start. I just know my husband is upset because people keep trying to 'friend' me using his # and he doesn't know what to do His phone chimes every time.

If you connected the cell number to the account, you should be able to use that phone # & your password for the FB account & get right in. Have you tried this? And if so, to what result?
Facebook can bring it back even if your account has a new email. The reason for them to ask for your email is that they will send you a list of questions to verify your claim that the account belongs to you. They will send it to your personal email. You need to reply to that email and they should be able to resolve it within 48 hours. You should trust the Help Center as it is the only one capable of giving you back your account.
I would go to http://www.facebook.com/help/#/help/?page=174 and try the troubleshooting steps. If they do not work, email facebook tech support with the emails that you used to create both accounts. They can assist you through closing one and getting your info back.
