Cant find our user guide to the maytag dehimidifier m7dh45b2a, is there somewhere i can down load it or print a copy?

most units have a drain line kite . if you do this it means it becomes gravity dependent water must drain down hill you cant put a hose on it and then run it up and out of a basement window you know what i meen

I would check if the compressor is starting... my first thought is that the compressor is either locked pu or not starting right because of a bad capacitor...

Well life span is 3-15 years depends how long and hard you run them. 45 pint is about 1000sqft basment. rule of thumbs bigger better. run less and do a better job. I'm fixing one of these too. Take the top off (follow the AC cord) and the fuse is on the PCB.

I am also looking for a better wiring diagram - the control panel on mine does not light up.

Check room humidity, if it is already below 35 it will not start because that is the lowest it will work to.
