My wireless connection works on all the other computers allowing access to the internet. My laptop (the MSI wind U100) however doesnt connect to the internet despite insisting that the connection to the wireless network is working

reset your internet explorer

go intocontrol paneland select add/remove programs or programs and features and find the payg dongle software and uninstall it then restart the netbook that should remove the dialup connection and allow you to connect back to your wireless.

first, you must turn on the wifi in your laptop,
then go to wireless connection setting, refresh the network list and join the wireless host that showed

just switch on the bluetooth by pressing Fn+F11, blue light on the netbook would glow, press fn+f11 again if it doesnt work

To enable/disable WLAN, please press "Fn+F11" to execute the device: (then follow below steps accordingly)
Note: there are four stages in all, assumingly both bluetooth and wifi are installed.

First stage : press Fn+F11 = Enable WLAN only
Second stage : press Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN Off
Third stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN On
Fourth stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth Off + WLAN Off

After enabling the WLAN, search the Access Point and connect with it. Now, you may use the WLAN.

If this does not work, check if the driver is installed in your computer by going to the device manager. check under network adapters. If the driver is installed, uninstall the current driver and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, you may download the driver update at the msi website: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474. Just make sure the driver you're downloading is compatible with yoru operating system

try to use DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
put this under your Wireless Lan properties.

If by mistake you disabled the wireless, you can re-activate it by pressing fn-f11

Not really sure what you are expecting. The wireless antenna is within the computer--you won't see it.
What you will need to do is to turn the wireless networking on. This is done in some computers with a small switch on the case (in this case, there is usually a light that comes on when you turn the switch on). In other cases, you will have to use the Fn key plus one of the special function keys at the top of the unit (has a picture representing a wireless connection on it--possibly something like an antenna).
If this fails, go into your network connections and see if the wireless connection is actually turned on. If you have Vista, this is sorta easy as you click on "connect to" and then choose "wireless network"

All you need to do is enable the wireless receiver on the u100. To do this, hold down the Function key ("Fn" - in the lower left corner of your keyboard) and press F11 (there should be a satellite-shaped icon on the F11 key). Once you've done this, it should detect any accessible wireless network within range.
