I took out my battery and took out my sim card and usually when I would put the battery back it would restart on it's own but it seems to be stuck on the opening screen. I put back my sim card thinking it might fix things but it just stays at startup screen with the first icon, it doesn't follow through showing any of the other four icons. Any help?
1) Remove the battery from your device
2) Flip open the screen
3) with the battery removed, press and hold the W key on the keyboard. Press and hold it and don't let go until I say so. :)
4) Put the battery in (you're still holding "W" right? Good). This is a little tricky to do but you can do it.
5) Keep holding W! :)
6) The device will boot to a screen that has a picture of a SK with Xs
for eyes and stars spinning around it's head, like it's been clonked on
the head. When you see this, you can let go of the "W" key.
7) After a few more seconds you'll see a screen that says "Sorry!
Please restart your device by selecting the Reboot button. If this
screen appears again, contact Customer Care."
8) Click the Reboot button on the screen, and hope for the best.

I have run into this problem a few times. So far, the first time I had to cold reboot the phone to factory settings. The second time, I noticed that it seems like a txt message is stuck, so I called the person and had them send a second message to push the first one through. This seem to correct it a bit. I then too out the battery and the sim card and restarted the phone without the sim card. Made sure that the contacts were all there, synced it and then put back the sim card for operation. So far so good. I also checked, and found out that my sim card is still Cingular, which might also be a problem OR: Backup ur data first, then perform a full format by entering *#7370#.....
after that install antivirus in ur phone and restore the data that u have made a backup..... If Your Problem not Solved SO Please New Software install in the Phone Problem will Solved
take your sim card out and put the battery back in, than turn your phone on and when everything is on type this *#9998*3323#.and it should reset your phone. after that put your sim card in and see if that works.
I took my batter and sim card out and put battery back in without sim. Next, turned on my phone and then back off; then removed cover and battery again. I then reinstalled the sim, battery, and cover. Turned it back on then it worked. I don't know if this will help in your case, but give it a try.

I had the same problem!! This might help: 1. Take out the battery, SIM card, and memory card (if applicable). 2. Let the phone sit in the sun for a couple of days. 3. Put the SIM card back in the phone and plug the phone charger into the phone. 4. When prompted, insert the battery into the phone 5. When battery is fully charged, remove the charger and depress the call button simultaneously.
I tired this and the phone is now working!!! Also, I do not seem to have lost any of the features!
