Without testing ,hard to say !Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test automotive electrical circuits . Does the vehicle have spark ? When turning the key to run ,not start , do your hear the fuel pump run for two seconds to prime the fuel system , fuel rail etc.... Did you hook up a fuel pressure gauge ? If you have gear oil leaking from a front axle tube then this is a ...a circular hole saw (he says about 2-2 1/4"), grinding the teeth down, ... Hey my 2001 ram has a big puddle coming from it'sdriver side wheel could this be it?.

There really isn't a fuel filter on the '01 Rams, not like you'd have on most other vehicles anyway. The only thing filtering the fuel is a sock (yeah, a SOCK)..and it's attached to your fuel pump assembly, which is ever-so-conveniently located inside the gas tank. You _can_ buy a replacement (50-60 bucks at a dealer), but I've never talked to one yet that stock it (most dealers I've contacted about it claim they'll only sell me an entire fuel pump ($225~ give or take...)

You have to drop the gas tank, since the fuel pump's inside it (thanks a lot Dodge!)

When you turn your key to the on position only ( not the start position) listen very carefully to hear the electric fuel pump come on for a few seconds which is located in the gas tank. If you don't hear the winding noise of the fuel pump running...then most likely your fuel pump needs to be replaced, but first before replacing it I would spend the $10 - $15 dollars to replace the Fuel Pump Relay Module. You could get lucky and have it be the problem. Best wishes!
