Dell Dimension 4400 does not post nor boot
Check power supply in back to see if you have on and off switch but you would'nt be the first with this problem from dell about the power supply going out meaning:
if you don't have nothing happening when your trying to boot the computer then it's the power supply, plug in computer power up and feel in back to see if the fan is blowing if nothing power supply is gone call dell.
remove all cards and memory disconnect monitor..and try to boot..if it boots replace one thing at a time to you find what is cutting it out..
if you remove everything and power supply comes on but you don't hear nothing from board are see the light on the board...
the mother board is fryed...

Used power supply tester...all power is fine. I get no beeps and no post on monitor. Tried several graphics cards.
I can see lights but no beeps. Can hear and feel fan operations. When hard drive is installed can actually hear it power up. I do not hear or see and ram post activity. Have tried three separate sticks of ram. All are supposed to work. Acts the same even with all items removed. With no ram it does beep.
I got the bios on a floppy and tried to boot but I saw nor heard anything other than the floppy drive power up. Any more thoughts?
