I have a LG LD301EL dehumidifier that has an error code of "50" What can be done to correct the problem. The symptom is the fan will start and run continuously. Nothing else happens.

sounds like the rheostat (aka rotary swithch) is opened (fried). can get new one on www.appliancefactoryparts.com for 8.19 + s/h. need to know how to solder though. otherwise you will be looking at having to buy new unit for $120+
