Where is the fuse located on the marshal amplifier MG series 100 DFX 100

  • fuse on the Marshall MG100DFX amplifier is located on the back panel of the amplifier, near the power cord.
To access the fuse, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Unplug the amplifier from the power source.
  2. Locate the fuse holder on the back panel, near the power cord.
  3. Use a flathead screwdriver or other similar tool to gently pry open the fuse holder.
  4. Carefully remove the fuse from the holder by pulling it straight out.
  5. Inspect the fuse to see if it is blown or damaged. If the filament inside the fuse is broken or the fuse is discolored, it may be blown.
  6. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a fuse of the same rating. The Marshall MG100DFX amplifier uses a 2A, 250V slow-blow fuse.
  7. Insert the new fuse into the holder and press it down until it clicks into place.
  8. Close the fuse holder by gently pressing it back into place.
Once you have replaced the fuse, plug the amplifier back into the power source and turn it on to see if it is functioning properly. If the amplifier still does not work, you may need to have it serviced by a qualified technician.

junn561,
Thank you for asking me directly to help you with your problem. However, either the question you are asking is not within my area of expertise (I am an automotive repair technician), or the question is incomplete and does not contain enough information for me to help you.

Marshall MG100 MG DFX. Full speaker noise with all volume knobs turned to zero and on all settings. When the amp is switched on there is a horrible loud buzz/growl that can only be left on for a split...

well theres only 3 sections of the amp the problem can be in. Pre-amp, Power amp, or speaker. First Unhook the speaker. If you can turn on the amp after that and hear your guitar through the headphone jack this means your pre-amp is ok. at that point you can just take a voltmeter across the 2 terminals of the speaker to see if oyu have 4, 8, or 16 ohms. that'll prove the speakr is good. I'd also try to connect and disconnect the pedal a few times to see if the normals in the jack on the amp are just being stupid. if all this concludes no success, you sir have a power problem.

Hi,I turned on my Marshall mg series 100 dfx and there is no sound, just static comes on.Its starts with a kinda bad feedback sound than turns to loud static.

I suspect the power supply for the effects processor has failed. The effects unit will "go crazy" when power supply is too low voltage.

If the amp has loud noise, then the power amp portion is PROBABLY OK.

I had a similar problem in a Behringer amp caused by a bad electrolytic filter cap.

Marshall MG100 DFX manual

If you just bought it new, Marshall will replace any parts, or the store you got it from. If its second-hand I would have a look on ebay for parts.
The user guide can be found here...

Good luck, its a sweet little amp!!!
