Can't find USB key.. GV 800 v7.05

I had the same problem; the unit was working and then just stopped working. The software wouldn't let me uninstall so I could reinstall. The good news is I finally fixed this problem. It was one of those instances where you try everything possible and you don't know which fix actually worked. For what it's worth, here are the steps I used.

I used the Windows System Restore.....to reset my computer to an earlier time.

I then tried to reinstall Tri-capture with the Tri-capture audio interface plugged into the computers USB port. After the error message saying Tri-capture is connected, "please disconnect the device"... I unplugged the USB cable from the Tri-capture. Leaving the USB cable still connected to the computer. I tried the reinstall again and it worked.

Which version of the card are you using, BNC or D type?

Remember: GV-800 is currently not compatible with VIA series and ATI series chipset motherboards.

I know Dell uses mostly Intel chipset, but just in case, check with your motherboard to see if you don't have either ATI or VIA; specially since you already have the nVidia.

Try going to the BIOS on your PC and set the 'Primary Display' to PCI instead of the built-in chip.

Vocee deve estar em boa forma, se voce executar e instalar todos esses programas.

try reinstalling the software again and full install it and then restart your PC and if it shows the same message then be sure that it is not the genuine software. OK

The geovison cards have quite a few issues with winXP and up because of the way they switch inputs. Windows don't seam to know how to handle it, i would try installing the drivers for the device again. You should see 4 video capture cards as well as a pci-bridge installed.

Okay - try going into the software directory and delete the files maked .db there should be one for each camera. Then start the software and try it again.

when u start computer press F8 key untill u get safe mode menu.
then go to enable vga mode .then u can enter in wicxp .theh set display resolution in display properties. 800*600 or 1024*768 .
thats all.

This problem could be because of the GV card version not compitable with GV main systems software you install please check the hardware version of the GV card and compare for compatibility. East way out downgrade to lower version of software. for example if you have version 8.1 install then install version 7.0 or something like that.
