99 gmc savana stutters at consistant high speed.

Van chugs/stutters intermittently at a consistent high speed, fuel gauge vibrates, sometimes (rarely) it turns over and acts like it wants to start but won't. Replaced, fuel pump, fuel filter, ign coil, coil wire but no change.

The only thing left in this system is the fuel pressure regulator. You need to check pressure before the regulator and after the regulator if there is the problem then you need to replace it. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.

SOURCE: my 1999 gmc savana van turns over but does not

could be a bad fuel pump, or fuel pump relay. they are having problems(a lot) with the ethanol in the gas on GM products.Fuel pumps sales are through the roof at parts house on GM's. Have a pressure check on your fuel system. That is probably it. Add a can of Seafoam to your fuel every 3000 miles to alleviate this problem.

2003 Savana 3500 battery light is coming on intermittently. Sometimes van voltmeter shows 14 volts then sometimes it shows 11.5 volts. Is the voltage regulator internal should just replace alternator

ITS part of the alternator. Check it directly at the alternator if u can. It sounds like an alternator starting to go. Have it ckd if u can. It should be reading 14- 14.5 volts at the battery.

Hi Jim, If the vehicle is fitted with climate control it will have electronic management. However it can be wired by someone knowing electrical circuitry to by pass the control. It will save you some cash but will need manual control. Make sure whoever does the job knows what he or she is doing. Have a happy new year. Regards John

Hey, I'm working on a 2004 Ford Freestar van with a coolant problem. There is no consistency, it happens at low and high speeds. While driving the temp gauge goes from its normal running position,...

do you have access to a good scanner (that reads engine parameters like engine temp?)-your gauge could be bad, you might have an intermittent problem with the cooling fan (connector?), your thermostat could be hanging open or closed, or you might have air in the cooling system.

I have a 2000 Savanna 5.7 What consists of a good tune up?

A good tune up would consist of the Air Filter, Spark plugs and wires. If its a Throttle Body engine, you would need a distributor cap and rotor also.

1997 GMC Savana - Car "stutters" when on incline or warmed up

their are a multitude of reasons the majority or the usual suspects are - if any codes have read and most auto stores offer this service for free --needs tune up ---egr valve carboned or failing --fuel pump /filter failing or partial clogging --catylic converter failing or clogging --injectors- tbi needs replacement or rebuild-- bad fuel any of these can cause such problems and not set off the check engine light
