SOURCE: Wont Turn on

I had the same problem with the same model. I have a friend who knows someone with a repair shop. He has access to trouble shooting programs. The search came up with three possibilities, Q551 which is the H.O.T., D503 which is a diode attached to the shield around your flyback and C509 which is a capacitor right in front of D503. Hope this helps you and if it does could you let me know.

SOURCE: My Panasonic tv pt53wx53g wont turn on it blinks 3 red lights

The 3 blinks is a error code for the convergence circuit. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at the following link which contains both Convergence ICs and all six feed resistors and they include step by step instructions with pictures that show how to do the repair yourself. Heres a link to the proper kit for your model Panasonic.

SOURCE: Power problem

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.

OK, three blinks is error code for short protection--considering you are describing a convergence problem what you have is one of the two STK-392-110 convergence chips is shorted.

The chips are about 2 1 /2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall and are black in color. They are mounted on metal heat sinks with fins and are side by side--they will have the Stk-392-110 number printed on them in white letters.

If you locate them take a good look at all the light blue resistors in front of them--most are marked 2.2 ohms---look for any that are white or discolored in the middle---if you find one or more YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR PROBLEM.

BOTH chips and any bad resistors need to be replaced and the set adjusted. If you can do this repair you can save a lot of money as you can buy both chips (a pair) on Ebay for about 12 dollars plus shipping.

I have start to finish instructions for this repair on this type of set but I cannot post MY email here-NOT permitted to post MY email.

If you cannot do this repair yourself, shop around your area--most shops charge 300-400 for this kind of repair--I do them here for 200-250 and have done hundreds of them.
If they say it has to go to the shop--keep looking as any good tech can do this repair in your home in about 1 hour.

If you have any questions or need advice reply to this posting here OR check out all my many solutions here for more information concerning what I have told you.

I am here to help people.

Heard a pop , bulb blew out , replaced bulb , it worked for two days , now red light blinks three times pauses then three times and so on , tv won't turn off light won't turn off unless I unplug...

3 blinks indicates lamp door is not on or has not been reinstalled properly. This also could mean the lamp door switch has failed itself. Try removing the lamp door and putting back on, if that doesnt correct the problem then I recommend having the switch replaced.

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.
