Recently phone started freezing when using internet. Took it to a Nokia Care Centre and paid to get it fixed but now there is no wifi access and when it goes searching for wifi the phone freezes and has to be turned off and back on before it will work as a phone but can't access internet now at all

All I can say is a HARD RESET will solve your problems(and eventually all your problems)!
First backup the important stuff like the contacts, messages, apps, etc. using the Nokia Content Copier available from the Nokia PC Suite.
Then switch off your phone.
Now, press and hold the ' * - Star', '3', & 'Call - The Green key that you use to recieve a call' together and switch on your phone. Keep the above mentioned keys pressed till you see the "Select Region" screen.

I had a customer with same problem as yours. However if you leave it for 45 mins then it became normal. We found out that she was keeping over 2000 text messages on her phone. IF this is true for you too, then try to connect it to Nokia PC Suite and from there delete all your text and otherfiles that use up the memory

There is a problem with the firmware which is quite common with those phones. It will have to be taken in for update or upgrade
