NEED HELP FINDING THE SERIAL NUMBER/LG RUMOR

The serial number is usually located under the batery at the back of the phone if you remove the back cover. If you are looking for the IMEI number, you can type in the following, and it shoud appear on your screen. *#06#

hi just dial *#06#

Just bring keypad up and dial *#06# and it will show your imei/serial number.

The serial number, model number, and regulatory number should be located on the nameplate inside the battery compartment.

THIS WORKS!! This will erase ALL phone numbers saved by text messaging. Go to tools and settings... Select settings.... Select more.... Select security.... Enter lock code, if you have not changed it, it is either 0000, or the last 4 numbers of your phone number... select erase reset... Select erase messages... Select yes. You have no saved numbers under text messaging if you followed these steps. My pleasure.

The LG Rumor is a Sprint CDMA device. This means that it is activated on a network using the Electronis Serial Number programmed into the device. Once the device is powered up, it registers to the network and if that ESN doesnt match an active acct, then no service, and you may get a message asking you to activate your device. Sim cards are only in GSM devices (not including nextel and a few devices that have been dubbed world phones, allowing them to work on both CDMA and GSM services.)

So, all this was to explain simply that you can never put a sim card in a LG Rumor. There is nowhere for it to go. SRY!!!!!

Take the batter out you'll find it on the back behind the battery on a white sticker on the actual phone itself it'll say S/N: and your Serial Number will follow.

Dial ##786# then details , scroll down and find ESN.

Yes, it would help if you gave the model number. However, if you do a google search for LG Rumor user manual, you should be able to find a download.
