if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Why not u can install Windows 7 , but the problem may arise in installing video and audio n drivers .Don`t worry ,After installing Win 7 put the mother board CD in CD Rom and go to Device Manager and if u see any devices as warning(Unknown) ,select right click and go to " Update driver and show the path of CD Rom. it will detect the drivers from CD if not have to try with other alternative.The above will work sure.Mine is too P4 working with Windows 7
