Question about Magnavox H2160MW9 HDD Recorder
We lost power this afternoon for about an hour and the DVD recorder didn't come back on. It is dead. Could it be a fuse or something else that can be repaired?
I have 2 Magnavox h2160mw9 that won't turn on after power failure. I unplug, wait 15 to 30 minutes, then re-plug and the Magnavox h2160mw9 powers on by its self. I have to reset clock and any programing that was erased. Channels previously scanned remain okay. Hope this helps.

I've located the firmware download for the Magnavox H2160MW9 and linked directly to it. Please click on the link below with your right mouse button, then choose "Save target As..." from the popup menu that appears
Save the file (HD6A26972AH1E.zip) to your desktop (or somewhere easy to find), then when the download is complete, you need to extract the file. Click on the file with your right mouse button and choose "Extract All..."
As this player has no USB port, you will need to copy the extracted file to a CD/DVD and insert this into the player to update the firmware. If you need assistance with performing the update, please let me know. You can reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.

Choose Dub on remote. Choose HDD to DVD. When you are looking at your HDD Titles, move the cursor (the highlighted box, using the left/right buttons on your remote) to the title you want to Dub. Hit the OK button on your remote. Then hit the Dubbing button on your remote. If you are ready to record, move cursor down to Start Dubbing. Choose speed, then hit OK button.
