How many wireless connections can a motorola Ap-5131 handle

Have 3 ap's set up using mesh. We do trade shows where we need to set up in one day and need to connect up to 180 computers to the mesh network. When we hit 130 or more computers we start having connection issues like dropping connection. IS there a limit on how many connections we can have and if so what is the normal max for a 5131

Each access point can handle 127 WiFi connection, so we would set the AP to independent or standalone and add one more AP.

some times your computer's firewall gets in the way, try disabling it then ping again.

This AP is in network x.x.102.0, which has it's own DHCP server. Only lan-port and WLAN are used on AP. I need this AP not to have it's own ip-adress, but devices, that connect to it,using WLAN,...

Ideally, there shouldn't be any configuration needed. Access points are transparent and only work as a bridge between wireless and wired network so devices should obtain their IP info from your DHCP server not the access point by default.
If you face problems, then there might be a DHCP server in the access point, disable that.

good luck

I have 2 AP5131 AP's on the same network with different IP's. I have been told they need to have separate "channels" in order for the hand held scanners to be used with them. How can I change "channels" on...

go to http:\\ip-adres-of AP5131
wait for login (java must be on your computer; otherwise click on link and install)
enter username : admin
enter password: ????
go to: Network configuraion => Wireless=>Radio configuration=>
and select a chanel.
Make sure when both AP's are to function on one network (+roaming) the channels on both should be different (f.i. choose channel 3 & 6). SSID and key;s should be the same
Make sure to save the changes on the AP.
