Check in message settings whether message center number is there or not if not call customer care and get ........also check message send as text or not if not make it as text and try.

Hello. It's possible that your cellular service has not enabled your ability to send and receive text messages on their end..
Call your service provider on a different phone to let them know that you are not able to send or receive text messages in all the areas you've tried. Indicate how far away from each location that you are unable to get signal from. If you can not send or receive text messages anywhere at all, this should also be addressed. They may even walk you through resetting your APN settings
In some cases, it could just be the building that you are located in that is blocking cellular service.
Sometimes, it could be a fault of the service provider. They may need to reset your connection on their side. If not, at least you can get them to try..
It sounds like it is not the fault of your phone, but has to do with the Cellular Service Provider.
Try and restore your phone using the factory software. Most modern cell
phones come with factory software that allows you torestore the phone to
a previous backup point using the USB data connection on your PC. This
point is usually updated each time the phone is connected to your computer,
so if you can restore it this way you should be able to recover all the
text messages that were present on your phone at that time.· 2Search for
the messages on your sim card with a recovery program. Some phones store a
running log of text messages on the sim card for a certain amount of
time. While the factory software won't allow you to read this data, you
can purchase third party software that will permit you to access all of
the information on the sim card in order to find out if your lost text
messages have been backed up or stored there.· 3Visit your carrier's
retail store and ask one of the employees to recover your text messages
using a carrier specific program. Certain cell phone carriers have
recovery software programs that are not available to the public, but can
be used in their retail stores by employees to perform certain procedures
on phones such as data recovery.· 4Contact the telephone
customer service line for your carrier and find out if they are able to
send copies of your text messages to you. You can usually receive them by
email, or even in the form of a duplicate text message, but not all
carriers offer this service and some will require you to pay extra if
they comply with your request.· 5Find out if you can get copies from the
other party or person that you were messaging. If you had a
text conversation that you lost, and have tried every other way to
recover your messages you can check with the person whom you were
messaging and see if they still have a copy of the conversation on their
cell phone. Depending upon the circumstances of the conversation they may
or may not agree to this, but if you've exhausted all of your other
option it's worth a try.
I am unable to see new messages on my nokia 5230 until i go into the message center manually. How can i correct the settings so i will have an indicator to inform of new message
