My alcatel versatis p100 cordless phone is desplaying "REGISTER" on the screen, and I cant receive or make calls on it. Please help

Your handset(s) and base station is(are) pre-registered. Up to five handsets can be registered to a single base station.
If for some reason, the handset is not registered to the base station (<Antenna icon> flashes even when the handset is near the base station), register your handset according to the following procedure.
Press and hold <PAGE> on the base station for about five seconds, the 1. base station is entered into registration mode.
Press <MENU> and <UP/DOWN> to select 2. REGISTRATION.
Press <OK> and you are requested to enter the 4-digit system PIN.3.
