My swingline electric stapler model 42130 is
Taking the stapler apart is a complex task if you can figure how to do that.To dismantle the stapler, slide back the top, remove two small screws on both sides, six on the bottom, four of the screws are under the sticker so you must peel off the sticker, you must also remove the sticker on top. There two tiny shinny screws at the bottom once you are inside. Now you have access to more screws you can take off to get to the staples place where the jam is. Watch cables where they are plugged to in case they come off. If you are are a mechanical technician or technically inclined you might be able to fix this yourself but you must be very patient.

Can not get the hammer to line up to hit the staple.
Take the magazine out of your stapler and visually inspect the driver head for any damage. If there are any nicks, worn edges, or warps, this will cause the problem you are experiencing. Usually you can remove the driver head and pound it flat then use a fine steel file to remove any imperfections with great results. If this doesn't help, feel free to contact me at
