LG micro oven it not heat

I am not an expert on Miocrowave ovens, but from past experience I know that they have a number of micro-switches on the door as safety devices. If these switches are faulty, the last safety feature is to short the supply and blow the fuse to stop the microwave from operating in an unsafe condition. Obviously the switches would have to be checked first before jumping to any conclusions and a number of other faults would probably cause the fuse to blow as well.

Inside the door is plastic covering a metal mesh

The screen in the door prevents microwaves from being emitted through the window, so don't remove it. If you feel it is faulty, take it to a service tech, as the door must be in good condition.

Our LG microwave (LMA 1560SW?LMA1560SB)

Mine did this too. Also, at times when I would shut the door, the whole keypad would go dark and the clock would have to be reset. There were also times when I would push Start and it would do nothing. I'd have to unplug it so it would reset itself.I used a screwdriver and forced the door open. Mine is about 2 years old and it's now dead. Biggest piece of junk I've purchased in years. Really ticked me off, no more LG products for me. I had a Toshiba that lasted me 22 years and the only thing that went bad on it was the light stopped working and the fan cover fell off.

No heating after exploding sound lg

This indicates the magnetron has failed, "heart of the microwave oven" if everything else is working then the culprit is as stated above, often gives off a strong odor. In most cases it is cheaper to replace the oven rather than repair.

Carasel motor shaft broke off in collar of

Hello, I usually get parts from a company called SERVALL. They have a Website,(SERVALL .com). They have been in business since 1929 and have Franchises so look in your local phonebook for nearby stores too! Before attempting to piecemeal repair you may want to see if the Manufactuer has replacement parts for this.

Sears has some easy-outs for broken bolts, some are for small sizes. If this shaft is permanently mounted in the case of your Microwave, the shaft may be part of the motor or embedded as a drivegear box. Unfortunately, when you drilled into the shaft you also pressed it into the collar.

You can try to Browser search by using the appliance name and model and add, illustrated, diagrams, shop manual, and so on for variations until you get a hit. It may be difficult to find the diagrams because people usually do not fix these themselves.

I hope my solutions include something very helpful and good-luck with this repair.

Stopped heating. Everything else

Yes! If you smelled a very strong odor in the microwave oven when you open the door, it is the magnetron.

When i turn on the microwave a loud buzzing

A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually ashorted high voltage rectifier diode, but a sound like gurgling into anempty coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag canbe bad without that sound. Here are some links youor someone you know can use (in order given) for test help, but readthe safety warnings first:

No heating in my microwave oven

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

Runs but does not heat

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.

(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron)))

Broken glass, door model LMA1180ST

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

The best place to order parts for this brand is Encompass (formerly Tritronics).

For this model, I would call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Would not heat, now outside gets hot

yes! , this is dangerous , be cause it sounds like the magnetron that sends out the microwaves may not be controlled , thus heating the outside and will be sending waves out of the microwave!
you will need a qualified electronic repair shop to deal with this, these microwaves are very dangerous and that unit should not be used untill it has been fixed , for the safety of you and anyone who uses or is around when in use.
these microwaves that are sent across the air to heat the food is burning it and it can do the same to you or any one who is around it while in use
even when in working normal conditions the waves still leak out some , so i always walk away when heating food in the microwave and i advise others to do the same
so the magnetron will need replaced and maybe another component but it needs to be tested to make sure nothing else is damaged also
hope my help has pleased you and that you can give me a fixya rating( all others hurt our rating) as i work on these and i know the symptoms that happen and the causes
again hope you can give me the fixya! , thanks , and if you need any other help, just ask me!

LG MP- 1482s INTERNAL LIGHT CHANGE

Manufacturers used to include access panels in the rear or side so you could easily change the bulb. That exposed the customer to 110V connectors, and that posed a real liability threat, so they stopped using them.

You now must generally remove the outer cover to replace the bulb.

In many over-the-range models, that can mean having to take the oven down from the wall! For safety's sake, that should be a two-person job and it's really helpful if you have your original installation instructions to do this.

Many models use one halogen lamp to illuminate the cooktop and another to illuminate the cavity. You must not touch them with your bare skin as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
