I had a similar problem with the katana I. You are suppose to setup an account on
http://www.sprintpcs.com, Then you might even have to setup another account for picture messaging, that can also be found on sprint.com. If that is your service provider. If you are still having problems, or just don't want to go through the hassle of all the work, just call your cellphone service provider.
I need to block a
Hi, on this make and model it is not possible to set up call barring the phone has not got the software to do this, some newer phones can offer this feature but most dont.
the only chance you have got of getting a number barred is by calling your service provider and tell them you keep getting nuisance calls from the number you want banned and tell them to block all calls from this person.
as your phone does not have the software for call barring then this is the only way of blocking a number, you need to call your service provider as they can block it for you, but you need to tell them its a nuisance caller and you want them barred from calling your number.
hope that is some help to you
When i answer the phone i cant hear the person on
hello,
this problem might be of 2 sources.
1. the network might be bad at that moment,
2. the speaker of your phone might be faulty.
to test if it is the network, try to use your phone to record your statement and listen to it. if the speaker works, then it is clear that it is the network.
to test if it is the speaker, try recording also, and try to listen to it to see if the speaker works. if it does not. then it is the speaker.
there are two solutions to the problem.
1. you can replace the speaker and
2. you can use either a bluetooth device or a earpiece.
take care
Can not hear out of ear piece, but speaker works
There are 3 solutions 1st you can take it to where you bought the phone and they can replace it if your warranty is still valid or if you have insurance on your phone. 2nd you can take the phone apart (open where the screen is) i suggest only doing this if you are sure you can put it back together and check the ear piece, if it has dirt on it try to remove it, but be gentle. Also if there is nothing visible that looks like it got disconnected its broken and you need a new ear piece. 3rd get one of those headsets and use it like that
I need to unlock it
take your phone to unloked at your nearest phone shop or market(cheaper at market)
Can i insert a memory card to my katana 2 cellular
The Katana II is a good durable phone and well priced, has a 21 Mb internal memory but, does not sport a memory card slot. It is not a GSM phone and therefore does not utilize a SIM card. So the answer is no. You can, however, download your data to a computer from a memory card such as a SIM, SD, Micro SD, Memory Stick (Sony), XD, or CF using software tools, the proper USB cable, and a Digital Concepts 6 slot card reader or the like, and then upload them to your Katana II. The only limitation is the size of the internal memory. If I did not work at a cell repair shop with all the goodies available, I would take it to a service store and pay the pros. It can get a little tricky.

Sim Card on my Katana 2 phone
If both your phones are locked to Sprint as your service provider, no problem, just transfer the sim card from one phone to the other.
