I don't know how to answer your question but I would suggest VLC player as replacement. It could play any media format, more flexible than PowerDVD5.

First read carefully how to use the key gen ..it is explained on the download page ...you have to generate the keys before running the program first time ..and insert them in the installation directory ..anyway I believe the indications are present in a read me doc.
Use a utorrent or some torrent client for downloading ..and use this version not the one you have installed already cause that is already detected as trial out..

Am not so sure if Cyberlink power dvd is capable of copying disc. I believe this software is just for video playback.

To copy pictures from a disc just navigate to My Computer then select the DVD Drive. Right click on the DVD Drive/optical drive then select open.

From there right click on the file or folder that you want to copy then select copy. Paste it to a folder on your computer.
