The your monitor has a failing power supply. These units have a 3 year warranty from Acer if you have your receipt. Hello sir, I have samsung 22in lcd monitor and nvidea fx5500 card. since last more than 6 months, my monitor goes blank If system remains idle (means I don't move mouse and don't touch keyboard) for 1 minute. After monitor goes blank I have to move mouse to brink it back to on. The power led keep on during this problem. I tried everything including power options in windows but could not fix it. Is it bios setting to be checked or could it be windows bug? Please help

You need to set the video output of the PC to the native resolution of your monitor: 1440 x 900 @60Hz. You are getting the meaasage because the resolution is too high for the monitor to display.

You can shrink the picture by pushing the menu button on the front of the monitor and scrolling down to the "vertical" and "horizontal" settings and pushing the minus key a number of times until you see the edge of the screen come into view.

Dont forget to save your setting as you exit or the picture will be too big the next time you start your monitor and/or computer.

Is the display going dark, but if you shine a light on the display you can still faintly see an image? If that's the case, the monitor's backilight is going off. That's frequently because of capacitors that fail. You can open the monitor and check them, replacing any that are visibly bad or below their marked value.

If the display is going blank meaning there's no image but the backlight is still on, capacitors might still be to blame, but the might be other electronic parts at fault. The problem might also be in the cable. A bad wire or bent pin making a poor contact can cause the monitor to go blank. Examine the cable carefully or try another one if it plugs in at the monitor.

kindly check ur graphics card. if ur grphics card is not powerful enough, then reducing the resolution of your monitor will solve ur problem

You may have the wrong input setting set on the monitor. By using the menu button on the monitor, you can set the input to VGA, DVI, or whichever medium you have your monitor connected by. If this does not seem to solve the issue, try another cable to ensure it is not an issue with the cable itself. I hope this helps.

The maximum resolution for the Acer X193W LCD Monitor is 1440 x 90, which is a really good resolution range. It will depend also on what kind of graphics/video card and motherboard your computer has which can help determine if you can use the Acer at that maximum resolution.

No. Your headset must be PC connected either by audio plugs or USB or dongle adapter, depending on the hardware you have.

If it's under warranty send back for a swap out.

One option you have is to go to safe mode and uninstall video driver in device manager and reboot your pc and it will detect it by it self and put it in right resolution. It is possible that drivers were corrupted if it got scrambled, also make sure it can support it. Best place to get drivers would manufacturer site not via update driver button. To get to safe mode you need to shut down your pc and press power to turn it back and and once this is done keep on tapping F8 key until you get Advanced Startup Menu. From here just choose safe mode and follow prompts. Once in safe mode right click on my computer and click manage option.On left side of new window click on Device Manager and locate driver for display. Right click on it and click uninstall and follow prompts. Once done reboot and should be all set. Good luck

There are two types cable to connect to LCD Monitor. VGA and the other is DVI,ight need DVI cable it has flat pins and is larger than the VGA small round pin models.

kdavey53, "switch-mode-power-supply" for X193W is probably in shutdown mode due to having detected a FAULT CONDITION with itself or another circuit. Black screen = partial shutdown?? Black and Blank screen = full shutdown??? Which is it? Are you going to repair unit or use warranty? Have you seen video clips at youtube for "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" dealing with the most common black screen problem with ALL BRANDS of lcd displays? But you will need to do the research and understand the problem that you monitor is having. Do you understand what makes your screen "light-up"? Have you any of the new style "curlie-Q screw-in energy saving CFL light bulbs? Same basic principle!
