Youcant do a master reset with out the correct code you need to read the phone using one of the rss programs from motorola.

If you do a search on google you will find them...you will also need a data cable they are availble on ebay

All you have to do is turn your i870's bluetooth on and at the same time, your fiancee's i580 bluetooth too. Like for example, if you want to transfer file from i850.
Here are the steps:

-Turn on your phone's Bluetooth

-Select the file in her phone that you want to transfer/send.

-In her phone, select "More/Option"

-Then click or select "Send via Bluetooth".

-Wait for the file transfer to finish,


Done! You have it.
You can do it vice versa........
Do the same thing iwth the other files you want to have from other's phone.

NOTE: YOUR PHONE''S BLUETOOTH SHOULD BE ON DURING THE PROCESS.

You can replace you flip that should fix the problem...

You need a new back housing..it is the part that has the speaker....

You can easily remove it with a t6 screw driver ...
once off there is a small ribbon cable attached to the board remove it.

once you have a replacement attach ribbon cable snap on back housing and replace screws.

You can order replacement on Ebay or do a google search for the part.

That has happened to me and i had to take it to nextel and they had to send it off to be fixed.
So just take it to nextel and they will fix it.

Using a proprietary data cable, download to your PC, then upload to your phone.

If you have a compatible data card reader on your PC:
1. download directly from your data card onto your PC hard drive, 2. insert your new data card,
3. goto my computer and then drag and drop the files you want into your new data card.

One or more part are getting hot in your phone due to short circuit. Water damaged phones normally have this problem. Battery gets charge but it discharges quickly for that leakage. You can try yourself. Disassemble the phone. Put out the main PCB and connect Battery. Now observer which parts are getting hot. Clean the PCB properly and change that parts if you can.

Call nextel and tell them that you switched your phones and they will upgrade their system so that your phone works properly.

If it's like my i730, that info is stored in the 'Profiles' section from the main menu. You can delete the profile to remove the name from your screen

A PUK code is required if the wrong PIN number is entered too many times incorrectly. If the wrong PUK is entered too many times the SIM will be permanently blocked.
