Bought a ScanSoft Delluxe 7
Go to ScanSoft's web site...Find references to Delluxe 7 on their site. If they have an upgraded driver, download it & try it.... best solution ... if there isn't an upgraded driver for XP, then you'll have to write your own... sorry.

I have a CD of
PaperPort 9 won't work on Windows 7. I tried compatibility mode and it still doesn't work. If you have a son or grandson in full time education you may be able to buy PaperPort 14 from www.software4students,co.uk for a very low price.

I have paperport 9.0 and I can't get it to work
PaperPort 9 is not supported for Win7. You need to upgrade your product or use a Virtual computer running a different OS. PaperPort 10 is being tested with Win7. PaperPort 11.2 and PaperPort 12 are fully supported under Win7. (My household has PaperPort 11. It doesn't work consistently with Win7 and a generic Win7 driver for an older scanner.)
With Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you have the option of downloading and installing the XP mode. (This actually takes two downloads.) Once you are running the virtual XP computer, you can install the PaperPort 9 and the scanner (if you want to capture the files from there). To share images with the real computer, files may need to be stored to external media. Hardware can only be installed to one "computer" and you will be prompted to uninstall the device from the other computer.
I hope this helps.

It will not work with windows 7. Is there
Here is how to Install them so they work.
Download your XP driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop.
You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP.
Right click the .exe file and select "Properties".
Then select the tab called "Compatibility"
Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted.
Now apply the settings and run the installer.
This should work for most drivers, but not all
This should all be done in Administrator Mode. & done to BOTH the install .exe and the programs run .exe

Describe your scansoft paperport deluxe 9 windows
Hi there and welcome here
Take a look here :
http://reviews.cnet.com/document-management/scansoft-paperport-deluxe-v/1707-3522_7-30787056.htmlIt does not describe windows Vista, so I think it is not compatible with windows Vista, so there is 2 thing you can do :
1. you can see if it runs in compatibility mode, and you do it in this way : Highlight the program icon on the desktop or in the start folder, choose properties, select the last tab, choose compatibility mode with windows xp and try to open the program
2. If it is not working maybe you can upgrade to a newer version, for that you have to go to the product homepage . Normally you find a link in the program where you can go to the product homepage.
Hope this can help
Have a nice Christmas over there

It keeps saying that the scanning device is Out
"...till now"
So... what changed? did you install some new software that consumes a lot of resources?
Some update?
Changed something in the resolution? (higher = more memory needed)
check the disk space too, maybe the pagefile is larger than usual.
or, re-install the scanner driver, and PaperPort just to clear things out.

Blue line down the right side documents
your not getting the cover closed all the way use the scanning software to make the scan go to the border of the paper onlt and then do a view print to be sure it is the correct size.

I need to change the settings in Paperport 9 so
To scan directly to email in Jpeg format when pressing a designated button on
the scanner. This may work for other scanner models, Paperport versions, and
image formats.
Basically, all that is required is to create a new link in
Paperport, enable the format conversion options, then select this link in
the OneTouch panel. However, there are a couple of hiccups along the way
that may prevent this from working. First, if you choose JPEG as the only format choice for conversion it will
not work. For some strange reason you must enable other formats for conversion choices even if just for effect.
Secondly, after creating the new link in PaperPort you may find that the
selected icon does not appear in the OneTouch control panel. In order to get it to show you have to refresh the panel by selecting an Icon with the same
executable as the one you created and then clicking on the Options button on
the lower left hand corner. Once you close the Options window the new link
icon is now visible. If you choose to delete a link in Paperport but it has
not deleted from the OneTouch control panel, simply do the same thing you had to in order to get it to appear, that is, select another link icon that
has the same executable and click the options button.
Lastly, there another strange quirk that I haven't been able to nail down
yet but it seems that sometimes you must wait several seconds for changes to
take effect and at other times you must open and close a window a few times for the changes to take effect.
