My Toshiba F45AV410 won't boot after turning it

It's a vague description...A/If you see a blank screen and you can hear some noises... it will be the screen (LCD) , Plug it into a computer Monitor and see if you get a picture off it. B/If you get nothing, no sound and no screen it will be power related. It is either your external power supply or the internal power in the computer. If you have another external power supply, try that or if it is the internal power supply you will need a repair person to fix it.

Try replacing the RAM, or pulling half of it if it has 2 sticks. Try each stick on it's own. If that works, replace the bad RAM stick, or replace both sticks. If it only has one stick of RAM, see if you can borrow a stick from a local shop. Take your RAM in so they can match the size, speed and voltage. Other shops may offer to let you buy a stick, and refund you if it doesn't solve your problem.

No bootable device

Your HDD could be bad? Remove HDD and test. Replace if necessary. With limited info that would be a place to start. You could try a System Restore/Recovery, assuming the HDD is working. Try a Repair disk, the MBR may be corupt?

SERVICE MANUAL G30-10B

http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Qosmio-G35/disassemble-laptop-1.htmThe Keyboard Cable STAYS attached to the Keyboard. It removes from the motherboard connector. The Keyboard Cable is a FFC. Flat Flex Cable,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flat-Flex-Cable.jpgAs such it has NO plug connector on the end.The flat bar terminal strips of the cable, MUST go back to the same position they were in originally; when reinstalling. For this reason you may wish to make a mark on one side of the cable, (Sharpee?), and a matching mark on the same side of the motherboard connector.[Even if the cable is twisted, flopped over, or going to Hawaii for vacation, from the factory; the cable still must go back in that original position ]The motherboard connector is a type of ZIF connector.Zero Insertion Force. It is rectangular in shape, and composed of two pieces, but does NOT come completely apart! The bottom part is larger in size, and stays stationary to the motherboard. This is the BODY.The top part is smaller in size, and is movable. This is the Locking Bar.This particular style has a Sliding Locking Bar,Locked, or can be stated as Closed;http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-A665-A660/big-body/disassemble-laptop-10.jpgUnlocked, or Open;http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-A665-A660/big-body/disassemble-laptop-11.jpgIF, the Locking Bar is broken, or the Body; you are looking at MOTHERBOARD REPLACEMENT, and why I am being so detailed.Remember;Remove ALL power first. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery.Use an ESD wrist strap, and connect it's alligator clip to a good ground source.(Electro Static Discharge)Average cost is around $3 to $6.Don't use one, and when you are done you can use the laptop for a Frisbee.Or an expensive paperweight.Use a multi-compartment container for the various screws you will remove.Label each compartment for the area the screw/s come out of.SOME screws look VERY similar to other screws.Advise do NOT mix them up.May I be inquisitive? Why are you disassembling? For additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette

In the registry, open the below folders.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.1 = Disable Num Lock.2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.
