How to open navman F20 to replace the battery
There are 2 small screws at the bottom of the unit, remove these and place a flat screw driver or knife in the joint that runs around the unit and prise apart, being careful how far apart you pull as there are wires attached to both sides, the rest is easy as the battery just pulls out and the new one goes in the same place.
NAVMAN F20 failure - unable to detect internal memory
Hi,
I think that the micro SD card inside the GPS is not in the good position, it is necessary to remove the grey sticker on the rear of the GPS and open the hood to access the SD card and then you can plug it in good position.

You need to remove the 2 screews from the bottom and then gentley prize the unit apart from teh bottom using a blunt broad knife will help if you cant have the plastic case splitting tools which are used in the trade,
then once apart the same side where the power button is you will see a microsd card its the same as in a mobile phone just pull it down from the top (its hinged at the bottom) then make sure the card is in correctley and then close it back and test (b4 putting the case back on) that will fix it we ahve a lot of these coming in and its where its been dropped etc and jumps out thats it

I reset my F series, now it tells me
unfortunately, per C-Net's review page at "http://www.cnet.com.au/navman-f20-339272352.htm#comments" there may not be any software available as that these units are now "obsolete". but there does not seem to be any "free" software at all.hold it! just found the software page from the company at "http://www.navmansupport.com.au/All%20Navman%20FAQs/Software/F%20Series.htm" for this unit. could not find a "direct" link to the download, but you may have better luck.it would seem that there are drivers in windows for this ( according to what I saw on the site)on some further searching, it seems that there is a sd card in the side that may be loose, check that out, too!
