There are many probable causes of failure .
A dishwasher's water inlet valve is its most common part to fail. When
your dishes are not being fully cleaned, quite often a faulty water
inlet valve is to blame. Test your dishwasher's water inlet valve, and
if it is no longer functioning as it should, you will have to replace
it.
Water temperature is a key element in achieving clean dishes. A
dishwasher's heating element is not designed to heat the water that
enters it. Rather, the heating element is designed to maintain the heat
of the water that enters the dishwasher. Its a good idea to run the hot
water in your sink for a couple of minutes before you run the
dishwasher. Just to make sure the water is nice and hot before it enters
the dishwasher. If the water is unable to stay hot, it can adversely
affect your dishwasher's cleaning ability.
There is a filter in your dishwasher. Its function is to keep large
particles of food and foreign objects away from the pump. Many of the
newly-manufactured dishwashers have self-cleaning filters, and routine
cleaning isn't a concern. However, some other dishw ashers need to have
the filter removed and cleaned regularly. If the filter or grate is
clogged or blocked with debris, it may interfere with the normal
functioning of your dishwasher

Hello ./. the whiote deposit could be washer solution .. or could be the hgardness of your water. if you have a water softener you should check it for proper opperation. If you run the washer without detergent and stuill get the deposits , then is is not the washer, but is in the water system somewhere. Try using a rinse agent to get a good clean rinse and you may solve to situation that way.
Poor rinse
Make sure the water temp is at least 140 degrees and use FINISH TABLETS.
Does not dry dishes
check 2 things, first make sure that the rinse dispenser is full of "jet dry" or some other type of rinse agent. it has to have some to be able to provide a "sheeting" to allow water to drip off the dishes.
the other is to make sure you are using the heat dry and your water at the kitchen faucet is above 120 degrees.
no heat dry and too cold of water can cause condensation to form and keep the dishes wet.
What could be the problem it the water will not
If you can hear the pump operating then possibility is that the filter is blocked. Wondering if you have cleaned the filter. It is also possible there is a kink in the drain hose.
If this is a new installation, ie, you are trying to operate first time after installing then check the installation instructions on where the drain pipe is going - is the discharge point at the recommended height.
Finally, if you can't hear the pump - then the pump or the pump drive is broken. I am assuming the motor is still ok if you hear the wash arm rotating.
good luck
