Microsoft comfort keyboard 2000 not responding.

Hello! I'd like to suggest this. First, unplug the keyboard. Reboot your PC. Than plug in the keyboard and reboot the PC again. If the PC still doesn't recognize the keyboard, than the problem lies with the keyboard.

I have a clight problem with my mouse and keyboard

Wireless connections are not reliable. One solution is to buy a wired keyboard and a wired mouse. Depending on where you live, they can be obtained for $10 and last for years.

I dropped the mouse and

If the mause has been dropped, then it is probably damaged.

Try removing the batteries if the mouse is a wireless unit. If this is a wired mouse, try removing and plugging the mouse back into USB.

If that does not work, if the mouse is new you can contact Microsoft, which gives one year warranty on products. If mouse is not new, then you will need to buy a replacement. If you have electronic repair training you can also repair the mouse by testing components and circuits for continuity and re heating the broken solder joints.

I dropped my mouse and now it will not work

Yeah you probably broke the optical sensor inside its going to need to be replaced, Not much you can do specially if you hear something wiggle around inside.

I would replace it, would cost more to get it fixed then replacment.

The right button on my MS Wireless Optical Mouse

Hi CB,

1. run IE in "No Add-Ons" mode
2. disable third-party extensions in Internet Options/Advanced
3. boot Windows in safe mode

If any or a combination of the above solves your problem there is third-party
software responsible for your problem. Note: you have to surf in each step
long enough to identify if the problem persists or not and keep that
functionality switched off when you change to the next step. Just booting
into safe mode and then back to normal won't achieve anything.
If 1.: use Add-Ons-Manager and disable all non-Microsoft add-ons and*
*******reenable them step-by-step until your problem comes back
If 2.: that's likely a toolbar or some other installable add-on
If 3.: that's likely a third-party software run from startup that can be causing this issue,

What I recommend is going to run (hold down the windows key + the R key) and typing in msconfig. GO to starup and deselect everything. Restart and your computer should boot clean, and hopefully the application should not interfere. This def sounds like the application that you were using is the source of the problem.

good luck,

Al

How do I connect the mouse to the notebook receiver?

this is usually pretty simple. Just connect the usb device to the notebook. Then it should say driver installed ok or something to that affect.
if you have already done this and its not working did you try to sync the mouse with the reciever. to do this you have to connect the usb to the notebook. then hit the button on top of the reciever (the thing that connects to the notebook.) then hit the button on the bottom of the mouse. then click the left mouse button and it should work. it should be noted that you have to do this if you replace the batteries as well. thanks
Steven.

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse #CE0560, with

The first step in troubleshooting is unplugging the mouse receiver unit from USB and reinstalling the mouse.

If you still get this kind of problem, then either Windows has a problem related to this device managment, or the mouse is faulty.

Try reinstalling the drivers first, or let us know if you have reinstalled the driver software already.

Regards.

Hp optical mouse right click button does not

More than likely the mouse has "worn" per se. I know, not proper terminology, but best to understand. So my suggestion is to get a new mouse, not much you can do unless you take it apart and replace the bearings or button yourself. I'm sure there is a guide for such thing. But if you don't have time then you should just buy a new one from Wal-Mart or your local computer store.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!
