It powers up and runs

Depending on the age of the projector it is likely the power supply. If the first 4 letters of the s/n are ANEL or anything other than ANEV it could be that the power supply is an older model that did'nt get the upgrade that was used to fix the premature shutdown issue which was fixed by soldering a ground wire from a point on the bottom of the power supply to the top of the main board. If you take the top off you can see if a wire coming from the bottom of the power supply to the top of the main board and it should be soldered and not screwed in by a screw.

The projector does not show

It could be 3 things--
1. You need a new cable
2. This is unlikely, but the red segment could be off the colorwheel, but if this was the case the wheel would be way out of balance and the projector would be vibrating like crazy.
3. The "color ramps" or colorwheel index in the hidden factory menu may need to be adjusted.

Lens adjust is sticking. With the lense out you

since you have then lens out, get a wide blade flathead and insert it in the smallest part if **** that it will fit into behind the focus ring and turn the blade like you are trying to widen the **** all the way around until it pops out into it's normal position. Getting the entire lens back in properly is a bit tricky since the threads are easily stripped. First screw it all the way back on and then check the focus on the screen. You want to see a crisp image in 3 if not 4 of the outer corners of the screen. It is best to use something with text that fills the whole screen so you can see the 4 corners as you adjust the focus. If the focus is good in the corners, leave it alone. If not, hold the back of the projector in one hand and forcefully push the lens into where you screwed it on and see if it pops into place. It really is trial and error. Once you have a clear picture it is a good idea to remove the top cover and glue all around the base of the tube where it screws on so it doesn't come loose again.

LP70+ picture flashes and jumps

cheapest thing to check is your cables. get new ones. if it is jumping and flickering leading to eventual premature shutdown of the projector then you need a new power supply/ballast with the wire upgrade on it.
