In what way do you need a product ID, as in the key? or are you trying to connect it through a database. If you need a key, download Vb express edition which is a trial.

What's happening here is that the file inpout32.dll is missing on this other computer. Most likely you already have that file installed on your other system. This dll file is used most likey or called by your visual basic to access the parallel or serial ports. What you need to do is to download it from online and copy it either directly to your runtime folder or in system32. That file is freely downloadable online just search google for the download.

Just do one thing...

1. open your VS folder and run setup.exe. A popup will open and then click on Install visual studio 2005 or 2008.....
2.After loading components, click next.
3.Next page will be your "MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS". Select " I have read and accept the license terms and then cleck next.
4.Select which feature you want install.
5.Ater Selecting click install....

This is handled by the "hosts" file on a machine. That file lives in the folder: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

This file (named "hosts") is there for this purpose. You can modify it as you would any text file using VB6. Just be sure to maintin the file's contents format.

You should be able to open another dialog be calling it from the dialog (Form) your user is in using:

MyDialog.Show , Me

MyDialog.Show vbModal, Me

For "Me", change this to the name of the calling form. For this to work, you may need to use the vbModal as shown. Try both ways to see for yourself and your situation. vbModal makes the dialog open and action must be taken and that dialog closed before access to other forms is allowed.

You need an MSDN Subscription and be a Microsoft Certified Partner to download that application. If you purchase the product from Microsoft, you may get a download link (not sure though about this).
