You need to replace your T-Con board. It is the small board that has ribbon cables going to the panel.

You need to set the auto standby mode to a long time for e.g. 3 hours or disable it.

Check the settings for standby mode and you would be able to set it accordingly.

You could access the TV's settings via the panel on the TV or via the remote which comes with it.

That T-con Problem. Not only bright or blur, mostly picture like polaroid.
Open the back cover, you will see pcb attached on panel.
Fine label of panel, exp : V315B1-L01.

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.


Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed (EX: backlight inverter)! The backlight inverter is what lites the screen for viewing!

I would recommend to repair immedately and stop trying to turn it on over and over...this will futher damage your tv and cost more to repair in the long-term.

If the unit is playing normally then goes to stand-by, it could be also caused by the main board and or the ballast boards. If it is caused by the ballast boards, it should give you error code with the red stand-by light blinking 11 or 13 times. If the stand-by light does not blink a code, it is probly the main board.

This TV is 10 years old and probably requires a service that replaces the backlight invertor or just a power supply issue. Check to see if the light blinks. (That is the fault code and then google the result for more information).
