My coby mp610 video player needs a mtv format
Hello,
Support for Coby media players is on cobyusa.com .
For the mtv converter, Coby Media Manager must be installed .
- Enter cobyusa.com as the address in Internet Explorer
- Next select the Support link
- Choose the fix for MP822 and follow the steps for the download of your operating system.
- After the download, install the file for Coby Media Manager
- Run Coby Media Manager: on page top in Tools > Device manager... select the MP610 in this converter.
- Add the MP610 and click OK to setup this device
- For the setup of the audio format added to the mtv video format, select DEVICE on the left side and next on the right side under MP610 select Device Configuration
- For the MP610, under the tab [Output file format] the audio bitrate can be changed, the audio format is fixed MP3; the video format is fixed MTV; the image format is fixed JPG .

Have you tried VLC Media Player? I understand it plays a LOT of different types of media files, and best of all, its small, and FREE! :)
Or you could also try the Klite Codec pack that comes with Media Player Classic, which plays a few that VLC don't or won't.

These devices have a limited set of movie formats that it will accept. Read the owners manual to find out what types those are and make sure the video you loaded onto it match what the device can play.

The earphone socket on your player is faulty. Most likely the socket is loose on the circuitboard and needs to be re-soldered to the circuitboard.
If you do not have the DIY skills, then take it to your electronic repair shop.

When you reset a device, it often clears the entire memory of the device and reverts to original settings. you can copy all of the music back on from a computer, but won't be able to retrieve it on the device.
When I load some songs
MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Have you tried to reset the player. Here is how if you have not. Here is a
link to a manual if you need one. Hope this helps Fixya up.

Looks like it only plays .mtv files, so a converter may be needed before uploading video files to the 610.

My cobyMP620 is frozen on
I've had an issue similar on my sansa, I had to take the thing apart using small screw drivers and a breakdown I found online and disconnected the battery. Once I put it back together it was good as new.
Otherwise you may need to look into replacing it.
