Sony RDR-VX555 "tv dvd combo incorrect disc" Questions

DVD/VCR. TV works and power c omes on the DVD combo but no blue screen appears just snow. I've tried both Channel 3 & 4 with no change. Help! have you try to check the the video cable connections from

DVD side to open anymore. On the TV screen it just says "Incorrect Disc" and the front of the player says "Err". What happened? the Laser is most likely defective. most likly it will need replacement.
