Hey i have several solutions for you.
The first is have you checked valvue clearence lately, because if the valvue clearence is either to high or to low then it could cause it to back fire. The next solution is repacking your silencer. The next solution is there is two main gaskets in most dirtbikes, one, which is located where the pipe mets the motor. Also the other gasket it where the mid pipe meets the head pipe. The bike fire is usually being caused by extra air. By the way checkin valvue clearence is extremley easy it may sound hard but I do after every ride.

I don't know if what you're hearing is the cackle you get when you get off the throttle at high rpm or just a general backfire.  If it's getting off the throttle at high rpm then it could just be that your muffler has broken in and it's just rumbling or cackling down.  Try a new muffler or enjoy the sound.  Other than that, maybe you are due for a tuneup on the bike.  Pull the spark plug out and inspect it to see if its burned up or something.  I checked your service manual and couldn't find any suggestions for exhaust backfires.  Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
Good Luck

87 kawasaki ex500 backfiring not starting

There are many things that can make the engine to backfire.
(1) Water in fuel.
(2) Ignition timing, if it's out.
(3) Fuel level in the float chamber of the carb being too low.
What exactly did you do to it..or did it just started to backfire...was the bike stored for a long time?

My problem is the bike won't idle and backfires . I changed out the pilot jet from standard #40 to #42 and got a new fuel screw tried to adjust to idle and one way engine got really hot where the...

I would suggest not making any changes until you find out the problem. especially if the bike was running ok prior. Was the bike sitting for the winter? did you use any fuel stabilizer? Change fuel including draining carbs. Check your air intake passages for spider webs, any mouse nests,... check air filter. change your spark plugs , especially if they look black. The condition of the old spark plugs will tell you a lot. Black indicates running too rich. Whitish or next to nothing indicates too lean fuel mixture. Tanish color is perfect. Start with the simple fixes before dropping money into her

Are you certain your choke enricher cable is actually working ....sounds like the carb is too lean for a cold start, usually the choke richens mixture till engine warms and can tolerate normal mixture.

Just got my self a 2005 kx250f was runing fine one day and now i cant start it changed air filter spark plug and cleand the carb it back fies alot

The valves probably need adjusting. This should be done periodically with four stroke dirt bikes. When my bike's valves need adjusting, it kills me trying to kick it, and it backfires a lot.

Another symptom I have noticed for valves that need adjustment is when I pull in the clutch sometimes, the bike will stall.

Hope this helps.

Just bought a 04 kx250f starts very hard and pops and backfires

Sorry, could be a clogged up carb from sitting or a bad ignition box. Have you got a pal with the same bike you could change out the carb to try? If the bike sat for quite a while, it almost certainly needs a carb cleaning and service.

Bike backfires,dies,restarts runs fine

your carbs are dirty. and probably need to be balanced also... bring the bike bto a garage and have them cleaned by a profesional.... also after market pipes don't give your bike the proper back pressure .. that can mess up your carbs timing

Backfire

Yes, it could (and probably is) be an air leak. Check to be sure the carb is tight in the intake manifold, and make sure the hot-start isn't loose and is sealing properly. Also make sure all of the exhaust system joints are tight, an air leak in the exhaust will make a four-stroke pop and backfire like an old work truck with no muffler...
