You have a short somewhere on your bike and it is draining your battery. Time to start some trouble shooting to find it.

You are rightly going, go ahead and take precaution to keep constant speed. After 2000Km you can run for getting optimum milieage from it.
I had used to run Pulsar and Unicorn and served 3 years in Honda Service Department.
Avoid much using break and over gear transmission will also help you in maintainging a good mileage.
Thanks

it would be impossible to fit the bike would have to be rewired the engine would have to be replaced it would be more than the bike is worth you would be better off selling the bike and buying a electric start model

SOURCE: 2003 Yamaha 650 Classic No power from the battery or a charger.

At 55 amps you could charge the batteries on the space shuttle. A 2 amp charger is plenty. You cooked the three year old battery so a new one will be needed. Get the new battery then worry about the fuses only if the bike is still dead. The fuses are under the battery side cover if I recall correctly. Look under the seat if not by the battery.

Batteries not charging

Put voltmeter across battery terminals while bike is running. rev the bike, if voltage is above 13 volts all the time, it is charging, so it must be the battery or the battery terminals, make sure they have no grease on the battery terminals/connectors..

Overcharged battery on motorcycle, now it won't even spark

CDI = Capacitor Discharge Ignition. If the key was off you did not hurt the CDI. The battery is fried. 2amps is the max for a bike battery. I don't want to know at how many amps you charged the battery with. Go get a new battery AND a 1amp or 2amp charger. Charge the battery for an hour. Chances are you will be fixed.
